Boeing start building first 777X, but CHALLENGES remain

Boeing began building the first 777X flight test airplane (24/10/2017), destined to fly early in 2020. They use the automated technology in such a revolution that Jason Clark, Vice President of 777 Operation state “A change in the history of how we manufacture”

The 787’s spars are fabricated in Japan. Boeing has designed the 777X with the longest single-piece spars ever developed, more than 100 feet long, so it is made in three pieces.
